I ve also have Brimar sidegetter ecc82.
For my taste this tube was nothing special - warm, little colored mid and not enough inner detail and micro dynamic. It was obvious that in my system it could not compare to something like Valvo 6067 and Siemens triple mica silver plate Ecc82 in terms of transparency or to Valvo foil getter in terms of midrange liquidity.Do not get me wrong Brimar sidegetter was nice tube, better than any RCA cleartop but at the same time very rare and unobtainable.
Rare tubes were pricy and frequently promoted by tube sellers despite of facts about their real audio quality.
