A pair of 5814's are being used as the input preamp tubes for an older Cary tube amp.Can any 12AU7 or ECC82 type be used in place of the 5814 tube?
If yes, what would be a good NOS type that is fairly available and not incredibly expensive?
What would be decent in current production present-day brands?
