I have a tube headamp that uses a single 5751. It came with a production Sovtek 5751. This sounds better than any 12AX7 I tried and better than a GE (maybe 3m) tube a private party sold me through this web site. The modern sovtek 5751 has good tight bass, a nice warm (not syrupy) mid-range, and extended highs. Another member of this board has sold me some "classic" 5751s (Raytheon, Sylvania, and RCA) and if you like i can drop you a line and tell you what they sound like once they make their way from the US to DK and I have a listen.But the production Sovteks are nice-sounding and i was told well-engineered.
