I built one of Amplitubes' kits about a year ago, then followed it with the VTA input board upgrade and Curcio under chassis cap upgrade. I was very pleased with the quality of the kit, instructions, and Chris' support. I have been using the amp almost daily since, and it sounds great. I can't compare to original ST70, as I never had one, but standing on its own, I'm quite pleased with it.
