original transformers, probably because they have a long lifespan and are hard to make yourself or tweak. I mean, how likely is someone to make their own (and I ask this even though I could, since I worked for Hewlett Packard hand building custom transformers)? Everyone loves to get in there with a soldering iron and fiddle with caps, resistors, sockets, and wires but the transformers are another game.We had one transformer that took our best builder an entire day to make ONE.
Anybody think I should go into business creating and providing reverse engineered transformers from the golden era?
