I utilize 6F6s and 6V6s interchangeably in my SE guitar amps (self-biased, pentode-connected). I have never tried this swap in an audio application.As Jimmy correctly points out, they do not bias identically; and this may preclude them from working in every possible application - but, in general, as long as you have adequate filament current available, it should be a fun swap to try.
