Not an exact 'drop-in' replacement. The 6F6 operating bias is higher and the filament current is 50% higher as well. If the transformer can handle the extra filament current & the bias is adjusted higher, the 6F6 would perform.I like the 6F6 sonics as tetrode connected, but prefer 6V6GT in triode connected.
