Did you specify a hardness when you ordered the GT's? Audiotubes.com says they come in harndesses rated 1-9, with the upper range being recommended for audio gear and lower range for guitar amps. I'm new to all of this tube stuff and haven't heard tubes rated in terms of hardness (the degree to which the tube breaks up or distorts, when driven to it's limits).Thanks,
