Hi, Joh,Glad to hear that there are people who are interested in Korean-made Hi-Fi gears. Stello is good Hi-end at relatively affordable price.
As you might know, Stello is made by April Music Co., which is owned by Mr. Kwang-IL Lee. He started the company to make great sound at affordable price and uses quality parts that are available at affordable price.
Product info is available at April Music's web site(http://www.audio.co.kr), and the company itself runs an on-line shopping outlet, too. The company has a showroom in Bangbae-Dong area, and the contact is Mr. Chang-IL Lee(Toll free: 080-277-4500, Cell: 011-701-7148) I don't know he speaks English, but know MR. CEO speaks pretty good English, but(again), it would be harder to reach him directly. ^^
The company's web page shows their dealer as follows.
Myung-Moon Electronics, located at the 2nd floor of Jun-JA-Land, Yongsan, Phone 02-701-1229
Audience, located in Bangbae-Dong area, Phone: 02-599-1297The company has an audition room in their office building, so you might want to go there and listen and buy from them directly so that they can adjust the voltage to suit your needs. They will do it for you. When they first introduced CD player, I used it and brought it here to North America after adjusting voltage to 120V there.
I think, however, buying used Stello might be better bet for you if you stay for a while in Korea. There is a good online community called Hifi Club(http://www.hificlub.co.kr) and it has used gear market over the web, which is almost one and only HI-End HI-FI stuff market in Korea. People there are generally nice, and, since Stellos are good entry level hi-end, there are considerable quantity of Stello that are being sold for upgrade.
If you cannot speak korean, I can make a few calls to find out what the market prices of new and the used once are. To do this, please leave your email here. Just to let you know, I don't make any money by doing this or am not affiliated with these companies. I just want to help people who are lost in a foreign country, which is definitely not an English-language friendly.
Oh, one more thing... I don't know how much Stellos are being sold at in North America or the rest of the world. Let me know about this also for me to compare those prices here and there.
Cheers,
Brian
