Well...In Seoul, Korea, you've got to go to certain places for certain things. Yes, for Camera stuff, Namdaemun market is the place you have to go.
In general, however, Yongsan market is a good start for Hi-Fi/AV/any computer gear. In terms of Hi-Fi, you can see virtually any high-end manufactuer's here. You name it. It should be there even though prices of certain manufacturer's are higher than those in North America, but there are things which are cheaper than those in the states. Go to the 2nd floor of Electronics Land(In Korean pronunciation, JEON-JA-LAND) Here, you can get any tube amplifier which are popular in the world market. Of course, you cannot get something which is made in the corner of some streets of small town. Actually, however, it's easier to find things there in Seoul, Korea because everything is in one building. You don't need to drive or even walk.
For tubes, check this link, Audioparts.co.kr(http://www.audioparts.co.kr). Most of the tubes they have are selected recent production tubes, such as Antique Selections, Electro Harmonix, but they have some vintage tubes too. For vintage tubes, go to audiozang.co.kr(http://www.audiozang.co.kr). They have pretty good selection of vintage tubes, prices are reliable, and good thing is what they sell is real, no fake. And, great guy, too.
If you cannot speak Korean, PLEASE bring some korean-friend who knows how to deal with the salespeople at the Electronics Market.
I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, post it.
