Hi,I picked up an amp a while ago and it sounds exactly like what you are talking about. I don't have the amp anymore, but I have some DETAILED pictures of it and I kept the Sansui OPT (the rest of the amp was fairly trashed.) I believe the rectifier was a 5Y3.
