I have had a few Hurricanes come through with bad filament rectifiers. My concern was what caused them to fail. After some research, I found that a few resistors at the input stage had shorted out taking out the rectifier. If you look at the resistors located at the front of the amp (input stage) you might notice one or two that have their leads very close to other resistor leads or even the body of one of the coupling capacitors. Be sure there is plenty of space around all those tightly fitted resistor leads and you should not come across this again.Bill
