Hi. An worn out tube is a possibility too. It probably has the original tubes in it. So, I should put a fresh mullard on the list too to try out, is the implication of what you are saying?A Croft, by definition, will have a very simple and pure circuit. This thing was also wired internally with silver wire, is my guess. Upgrading caps, with PIOs will also help I'd suspect.
