BlueMagic is a VERY fine metal polish. There are others.Use polish ONLY when straight isopropal and swab won't do the job.
ANY residue left behind is at least a sonic problem, and on HV tubes it can be dangerous.
Scratched pins do not make good contact, even when clean, and they re-oxidize quickly, as well.
