I agree with your assessment on just about everything except perhaps the SED, I'm not really sure about the warm part. If you like the original T-S 6550's, all I can say is that the orignal black plates, if you can find them in sufficient number and can swing it financially, are the tops. Take what you said about the the three holes and add "organic".Right now I'm running the Ei KT-90's (type III) and they are very good. But I keep thinking about putting the Tung-Sol's back in.
