Then I could add that it is a USN CRC 38205 tube. There's some white dust on the bulb base, which I assume is a carbonate or oxide, so I'm far less concerned now.
And, btw, I'm an inorganic chemist, so I'm familiar with many of the health hazards of metallic compounds. I'm just trying to ascertain any special precautions or safety info.
