I once bought a quad of Sylvania 6L6G tubes that were NOS. The auction on ebay showed the tubes lying on a table in front of the boxes. When I got them I found that the tubes were actually NOS which of course made me happy. The problem though was that the seller used scotch tape to tape all the boxes together into a cube for shipping. From what I could tell by looking at the boxes, they was in great shape before the knuckle head taped them all together. No torn flaps or moisture damage or other problems, but now, tape all over them.Now to be completely up front, I didn't buy them for the boxes, and I got them for a great price, but........... Apparently the seller didn't realize that he was ruining a good set of vintage boxes. Just had to shake my head in disgust. What else can ya do??
