I think it's a cost issue in part, and possibly augmented by an inventory issue (what do you do with a bunch of tubes if you don't use them?). And I also suspect the unit may have been voiced around the WB.Combine the three in some mix and I'll bet that's what happened. Of course, only the manufacturer knows for sure...
The LPS would be a fine replacement for it (the WB).
