Hi Jim,

Just received the quad of Groove Tube 12AX7M you sent me. Dropped them into the V1 & V2 positions of my Rhea Phono Stage. Sounding very nice already.

The tubes they replaced are Sovtek 12AX7LPS. I have a question... what is the difference between the Sovtek 12AX7WB and the Sovtek 12AX7LPS? I am wondering why Aesthetix uses the 12AX7WB and not the LPS in the Calypso preamp. The LPS is supposed to be a better sounding tube. Do you think it is cost issue? Would it hurt to try the LPS in the Calypso?

Any insight would be appreciated.
