Only the SHADOW knows the answer.... First, skip the cryo. Extensive field testing by EVERYONE I know or corrspond with says it's snake oil of the first order, sometimes making the tube worse and never any better. As for the BEST 7308, really, this is a question w/o an answer. Your taste, your system, etc. will determine. Any 1960s Dutch or USA Amperex will be great, avoid Telefunken for the simple reason that SO many of their E88CC and E188CC are East German SHIT. Depending on the vintage(ALL IMPORTANT WITH SIEMENS)you may have a decent tube; the early Siemens are easily identified by the getter post and other marks (asylum search) and the good Siemens are also called SIEMENS AND HALSKE. "Rohre" is just the German word for tube-- the 1970s Siemens were the Siemens Rohre boxed and labeled types.
