Swap the tubes around and see if it follows the tube. If this is a push-pull EL34 amp, swap one tube from one side to the other. Then swap the other pair. Also swap the driver tubes around. Only do one pair at a time and listen for a long enough time to hear the problem if it recurs.This popping is almost always a bad tube.
