Tubes like the 300b and the kt66 and the like many times becuase of the bottle shape breaks free from the glass..All you do is take a little epoxy or super glue and go around the edge of the base and reattach it..You dont have a lot of heat down there anyway and I do this a lot on kt66s..You dont need much glue but go all the way around the base the best you can and you will be fine.
