The previous response is correct,,,Amperex did not make a 6L6GC however, a NOS 6L6GC or British made 6L6GC or even a NOS KT66 CV1075 GEC made will far surpass the dynamic range tonal quality and life expectancy of any current production 6L6GC types you find produced in China, Russia, or Czech republic. RCA NOS 6L6GC blackies are very expensive however for less $$$ you can get nice british made pairs and and for half the cost sylvania JAN 6l6gc's.
