Amperex never made a 6L6GC. Amperex, 99% of the time, was just a brand, not a manufacturer. You might have a Russian Svetlana 6L6GC labeled Amperex by Richardson Electronics-- those are very, very good sounding. I like them better than the way overrated RCA 6L6GCs that get CRAZY money now, and they are better than any of the KT66s made today also. You might also have a Chinese 6L6GC labeled Amperex. Those are less good.
