I do not know if they even screen their tubes at all. But I've bought several dozen of the gold pins and steel pins and have had only one or two failures. Wish I could say that about some other popular current productions stuff, purchased there and elsewhere, which has a much higher failure rate IME. At less than $10 for the steel pins I can risk a couple of failures. Besides, there hasn't been much alternative in the USA market whenever I've wanted to buy some. I assume thats because of the reluctance of dealers to cope with the percieved 'high failure rate' due to microphonics. :-)
