RCA gold pin 6922 with W. Germany on the box & tube are 1960 era Siemens AO code with grey shield above the top mica. Best 6DJ8 family I heard.Difficult to source, but real Raytheon 6CG7 with center shield in the old style red & blue boxes are the best of the 6CG7/6FQ7 type of tubes I ever heard. Later Raytheon in the white & red boxes are made in Japan. A close second are rare DuMont 6CG7 (158 code) with black plates & center shield. Early manufacture Sylvania 6CG7 are a distant third & not acceptable in my amp.
