RE: Velodyne Subwoofer low level hiss/rumble -Help.

appreciate all the replies inmates,

regarding service, you can sometimes buy these units for around or less than $300 used. I am sure sending out the unit or the amp, for service would exceed that cost, that's why I was curious if I could trouble shoot it myself.

The suggestions of replacing the amp with another one, like parts express amp might be feasible, however, some reading seems to suggest that any amp will not work since this unit is "servo controlled?"

If I can't solve it, I may just live with it and relegate this sub to HT duty only as the noise isn't as unbearable for that use verses music only.
