I'd have to know what system and speakers and the room plus probably hear what you mean by sound big or small. I often find speakers that sound big do so because of non optimal focus and speakers that focus well do sound 'smaller' but often that's the way they should sound on that soft ware. Good audio products seekm to vary their characteristics depending on what's on the recording. If they don't there is a problem.
