sent it back.I don't like the Taylor sound.Too tinny.I also started out playing on a used 412CE.That was also too tinny.
I believe now that most models, except the 300 and 200 series?, of Taylors come with a 1 3/4 neck.Allthough for 200.00 you can special order the skinnier 1 11/16 neck.I did find a Taylor that I liked at Elderly last year.A well used older 714 noC/noE,rosewood and cedar, that was sweet as hell. But someone had trashed the area below the sound hole.Speaking of gibsons....I passed up an early 60s J-something last year at Elderly and I still kick myself.I passed because the rear lower bout was de-laminated a bit.But the sound was heavenly and a dream to play.1600.00 and I shoulda bought it regardless of the condition.
I may end up selling the Blueridge and looking into something like a vintage Gibby. The prices aren't,yet,as outrageous as the vintage Martins and a lot of Gibsons have the skinyy neck and are short scale which I like.
