Agree with you 100%. A terrible shame that Young felt the need to rush this recording out. The songs could use a lot more TLC and "The Volume Dealers" production and sound has always been disappointing, and is abysmal here. It's so bad I can't imagine it sounding any better on the vinyl issue, which I'm hesitent to buy.I'd also add that the drummer shold be shot, but that's more of a personal disdain for his style than anything else.
If it's any condolance, supposedly the songs from "Living with War" are shaping up and sound great live in the current CSNY shows, despite the presence of said drummer.
