pop, classical, reggae, Caribbean, African, world. I also like some jazz (Rippingtons, Klugh), folk, bluegrass, selective country, fast blues (Cray) Can't say I like hip hop, metal, or rap and don't think it's because of my age. (This post is not about why I do not like rap and is not intended to incite another lengthy thread about the subject.)
I suppose I have a fairly wide spectrum of music I like. Certainly, rock is, by far, my most listened to format.
I took a series of intelligence tests a while back and the reviewer asked if I played a musical instrument; I said no, I didn't but wish I had. He revealed my results were in the upper 2% for musical aptitude, which almost always predicts a musician of some sort. I told him I love music, of course, and that my mom played piano and clarinet and also loved music. (my father couldn't carry a note in a bucket and had no love of music)
So, I was just wondering if there are some similarities among you rock lovers. By the way, both of my boys love music but my daughter is obsessed with music, like me. A world without music is not so nice a world.
