I think the vaccine made the tinnitus problems worse, but in most cases it was a temporary side-effect. I had a touch of tinnitus after first catching Covid, but it seemed to become more pronounced after the vaccinations.
Gradually, over a next couple of years, the tinnitus problem diminished somewhat.
I still experience intermittent mild tinnitus effects, mostly during the afternoon hours for some strange reason...
