RE: The Pontus

Ha, not to worry.

My pre and power amps are in black. When my old trusty SACD broke down I got a Denon SACD in silver. Looked weird with the other black stuff but sent it back mainly because I didn't like its soft, squishy sound. So I got a Pontus - in black - and paired it with a Jay's Audio transport, also in black. Wow, great sound. I left for Europe just two weeks after I got the units, and on return after a month found that Xangsane power cord I'd ordered earlier had arrived and had completely forgotten about. I didn't even hook it up for a few days. When I did I put it on the CD transport. Holy mackerel, nice improvement, volume increase and more bass. I could hardly believe it. Just ordered two more for the pre and power amps.
