In my experience while say the older AudioQuest IC's from the mid 80s like their then Lapis | Emerald | Black IC's were more akin to the refinement found in other brands like Transparent Audio | MIT | Monster Cable.
Their cabling looms since around the mid 90s, offers said sense of forwardness you might be looking to gain, two other companies that comes to mind or DH Labs | NordOst, where even their lower priced Purple Flare | Blue Heaven | Red Dawn makes should prove worthy of your attention.
Even used via HiFi Shark, it can't hurt to explore said options.
