Tell me... what was the status of the French people in 1534 in Canada?

A majority, perhaps? Or, as you put it, "a small historic minority"?

Would you say the phrase "to force their way in and take over by violence" does not apply to them?

BTW, the early Jews in Palestine did not use any force, unlike the French. They settled totally peacefully... bought some land.
