Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

I'd purchased this unit from a private online seller about 4 years ago. I liked the looks of it online, and was assured everything works. I think the seller even posted a video online of it playing music, so, I figured everything worked. Was packaged faintly well for shipping too. I connected a pair of speakers to it and powered it on. No sound from speakers. I then tried different speaker terminals. Eventually got some faint sound from the right speaker. I then set it aside for a few years. I decided to try again yesterday. Did not connect any speakers though. Tried using a pair of headphones to see if there was any sound from this source. No sound. These headphones do work too. I can hear a single clicking sound whenever I power into. Connected a teek antenna for better reception. The station connection meter slightly moves, but, I have no idea if the stereo is connecting to a station (no sound). All of the leds to work. I am not a techie. No idea what the sound issue could be. I am looking for my voltage meter to see if there is any power coming from the headphone jack (by touching the Jack externally. The case screws are on too tightly for me to remove. Is lack of sound a common issue with this particular unit?
