that word VALUE is a difficult one to define. I would say it might not sound like 5 or 10 grand but that's only a number. They are not made anymore and few of the ones they did make are now in mint condition. So the market and demand sets the price and I'm guessing some people want them for a collection or nostalgia.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, that's just the way it is. I have Quad 57's and think they are worth 100k. Nobody else does and the prices I've seen are consistently low - they are a delicate beast. It does not matter to me anyway, I've had them since 1978 when my Uncle gave them to me. Any used market is pretty weird and mostly based on peoples emotions.
3 thing for sure, the Marantz will most likely be the best to restore and give the greatest listening pleasure, or at least be a standard to judge others.
