Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

RE: 3rd time's a charm(I hope)

Thanks for your comments.

Beauty, as you said, is indeed in the eyes of the beholder. I agree with you on Paragons. They're stunning. I love the wood of the 107.2 but not the top drivers. Reference 1 is not my cup of tea, but I'm not generally a fan of smaller stand mounted speakers. I really like the C1's, especially these raw birch one's because they're timeless, IMO. Classic. But again, one's take on what's classic is another's junk.

As for the sound, I'm not a huge Klipsch fan. The larger Khorns, or Lascala's , have to be driven by appropriate amps, and placement and room size is crucial, IMO.

As for Cornwall's, I've only heard the variety's I've owned, and liked them all. I do like the earlier models because of the alnico drivers and Type B crossovers with the oil caps. Lots don't, but I find the combination very musical, and the combination with an older McIntosh like the MC2300 I presently have it teamed with provides me with a combination that I can listen to for hours.
