Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

3rd time's a charm(I hope)

Posted about my new acquisition in "Speakers" but figured there might be a few folks here who might have interest.

Over the last several years I've owned 2 pairs of Cornwalls, verticals and CII's. Liked them both(especially the verts) but ultimately they moved on. Yesterday another opportunity presented itself locally when a friend offered up a pair of 1977 C1 birch decorator models(stained honey walnut) that he had acquired from the original owner, who for the last 10 years had basically used them as a tv stand! We agreed on a gear trade, and here they are. All original, including the B networks with the oil caps. I really like those, and find them very musical. I know others won't agree, which is fine of course. Driving them with a McIntosh MC2300 amp and C11 preamp and they sound as good as they look. They came with black grilles, but I like nekkid!
