Turntables that have stood the test of time

I am curious for thoughts on turntables from the era manufactured between 1970 and 1982. I love vintage tables and I'm looking for a new project. In my current line-up are Empire 598III, Micro-Seiki DQ41, Thorens TD160 and a newer Rega P3. The criteria I suppose would be type of table (DD, belt, rim) durability, ability to service or modify, availability and affordability (say, <500.00 used), availability of replacement parts and last, maybe the ability to resell.

Thanks in advance for any suggested models or insights into ones to stay away from.
