I wouldn't doubt that the 1000's sound great with
top tube gear..I used to sell them with the M4 Yamaha
amp..never great to my ears...but I heard another
sister store with the speakers driven by the B-2 amp
a VFET design...much much better
Enjoy them
No room for them in my den now..WAF won't allow it
$500 was aa more than fair price ...I think the MSRP
on black versions was 1400 with the ebony closer to
2000...Got my c2A on a factory discount...
too bad I din't spring for the speakers then... 50% off
as a salesman's discount would have been nice -these last 30 years
