Classic gear from yesteryear; vintage audio standing the test of time.

Thanks! I know what to do. I have a 222c on the way.

I won't make a move until I receive it. Cosmetics is the big issue. I'll keep the 200 just because it's mint. If the 222c doesn't sound much better I'll end my "Scottquest" with the 200. I'm running a Toshiba CD player through an Entech DAC, Technics SL-1600MK2 with a Denon DL-110. All Norsost cables. Speakers are Infinity Primus 150s modded with Solen caps, and Nordost 2 Flat wire. Primus 8" sub connected to the center channel of the Scott.

I really could stop with this set-up and be happy.

Like you mentioned in your archived posts, the ECL86 is a bit "dense and focused". The Primus 150s like to be on tall stands, wide apart and without any toe-in. I call it forced soundstage. It's a good combination.

The Scott is dead quiet on all inputs without a signal. Nice sounding phono too.

Well...thanks for the info. I have a feeling that the 222c will kick the 200s butt!
