Being Attached emotionally to cetain gear

I know we talk always about-best worst gear
but sometimes we find it hard to part with our "first"
better piece of equipment...Something like your first girlfriend
you never really forget them..
Mine was the KLH 27 receiver - dual venier dials
As I remember it sounded great...at first - until
I started hearing better gear - it was replaced with
a Mac 5100 and Sherwood silicon tuner
The difference was astounding ..But I always will have
an attachment to that model 27 - it was my introduction
into better sound... KLH 6's were at the other end...
