So, I have a new Stanton 681EEE cartridge with a 6800MK3 Stylus and I havent a clue about the various adjustments necessary to balance the arm, align the stylus, etc. I can turn the knobbie thing on the back of the tonearm until the tonearm "appears" level but then I can do the same thing with the slidie thing on the arm itself. To confuse matters, there are 2 screws that attach the cartridge to the tonearm head but they slide within the head and I dont know if they are supposed to have a particular fixed position. I used to know this stuff, but dementia is apparently setting in. Any advice?
