I set up a Philips for a frend a little over a year ago and set up quite a few when I was in the business. I also am not impressed by the arm. It's not nearly a primative as the AR but it is loose. I would not put a lot of money in the cartdige, but the Philips still provides very good sound for the money with a inexpensive cartidge. I like the looks quite a bit!Dave
