The c26 isnt my favorite preamp as is the c24 which is even worse..THe c33 is definitely a triple step above as it features direct coupling and it also has the power guard feature and it uses scr regulation..It really is an advanced preamp for solid state and they can be upgraded to sound even better.Go for the c33..I have a c28 that I upgraded with .47 rifa pme271 which are paper in oil impregnated..They sound very nice in the c28 for solid state when used with a tube amp but the c33 will do it even better.
