How does the McIntosh C-33 preamp compare to a C-26

I may have the opportunity to trade up now that I seem to have more cash than stereo gear. For an amp I am using a pair of Dynaco MKII monoblocks. The C-26 seems to work very well but I am considering a "newer" look and newer electonics with less likely hood of component failure.
