Most MC-60s like the Tung Sol 6550s. You really can't beat the original British KT-88s for sweetness and punchier bass. 6550s can sound a bit more analytical. Tung Sols were the best, though.
Your comment that the amps sound tired, and voltages seem okay, makes me suspect the front end tubes and/or the 5U4 rectifiers.
While subtle differences in tubes can make more than subtle sonic differences, how about trying the little bottles first, before spending ?
In most Mc amps, the negative voltage supply is very critical.
Selenium rectifiers were never built with longevity in mind.
