If I were you I would ask at the Yhaoo tuners group, and have you visited teh Tuner Information Centre?Have the alignment checked and trimmed anyway. Unless you have specific selectivity issues on one or two desired stations, I would not mod its filter 'settings', but a 'perfectly matched' set wouldn't hurt even on 'wide'. NB the ones in there may be pretty close!
It would be worth while to thoroughly check over and retrim the audio stages, includng the stereo demodulation, and the bias of the output stage and replace/upgrade a few caps and R's.
