MHardy6647, got a Sangean HDT-1 tuner off CList recently to replace HDT-20 in garage. It's quite a dx machine, just like HDT-1X, with fidelity as good as received signal. Only lacks HDT-1X's ability to receive analog-only signal (so HD signal doesn't cause picket fence interference during propogation fades) , as well as dial brightness adjustment. Receives Capitol Public Radio's KXSR 91.7 Mhz Groveland/Sonora from 85 miles away like proverbial local on mere dipole antenna. Easily revealing better fidelity than local sister station 88.9 Mhz KXPR from nearby Walnut Grove tower. Angwin's KOSC 89.9 Mhz signal (part of KDFC's terrestrial network) comes in strong from 51 miles away without any hint of sideband splatter from KLOV 89.7 Mhz (also from Walnut Grove tower). Where oh where wuz this tuner back in them KSAN Live Show daze? ... 73s para Sactown
